What is Gallatin on the Move 2020 - General Development & Transportation Plan?
The Gallatin on the Move 2020 – General Development and Transportation Plan (Plan) is a long range planning project intended to help the City of Gallatin establish a clear vision of the kind of place that the City wants to be in the future, and provides a course of action for the City to follow to create the community that stakeholders envision. A Plan helps guide decisions concerning issues such as:
- · Location of commercial, office, residential and open space land uses
- · Needs for infrastructure expansion
- · Areas of environmental or historical significance that should be protected
- · Identify needs and appropriate land use controls such as zoning and development standards
WAYS TO GET INVOLVED
Gallatin is a City on the move and its future depends on Gallatin residents getting involved. Whether someone has lived in Gallatin their entire life or just recently moved into the community, everyone has ideas about how to make Gallatin an even better place. The City of Gallatin is looking for those ideas and is asking residents to get involved and help make a difference and shape the future growth of Gallatin.
