Closely aligned with the economic well-being of Gallatin, Codes Administration performs field inspections of new and building expansion projects as well as reviews plans for commercial projects. Codes is also charged with issuing both residential and commercial permits relating to demolition, moving, change of use, and a variety of other projects. Nuisance calls for weeds, debris, and housing codes may be directed to Codes, and the public is encouraged to call Codes for other general information relating to codes and permitting. The City of Gallatin has recently adopted the 2006 International Building Code. Enforcement of these codes will begin February 20, 2008. Click here to see a copy of the letter.
