The City of Gallatin offers recycling options at two different locations:

Glass bottles, plastic and cardboard may be dropped off in bins located behind the Public Works Office at 641 Long Hollow Pike. (location map coming soon)
Bins for newspapers, magazines, steel and aluminum cans are located next to the Gallatin Public Utilities Office at 239 Hancock Street.(location map coming soon)

Each person in America generates an estimated 4.5 pounds of garbage every day, according to Keep America Beautiful. Recycling reduces the need for landfilling and incineration, prevents pollution, decreases greenhouse gas emissions, conserves natural resources and saves energy.
